Foster Care Support Programme

Foster parents provide foster care to a child who lives at a children’s home, they enable the child to meet with his/her biological parents. The Foundation offers contributions towards the child’s after-school activities, tutoring, psychotherapy and/or towards foster parents’ training.

Charlie has been in our foster care since he was baby. His diagnosis is low-functional autism, he can’t talk and the day-to-day care is demanding both timewise and moneywise. Thanks to the Social Foundation contribution Charlie started a special therapy and learned new signals for communication. Now he can share his needs and wishes and also his emotions. SF also paid for respite care, and we were able to spend quality time with our daughter.
